Opening a program minimised on Windows startup.

I'm trying to open programs in a minimised state when Windows 10 starts up using Dexpot 1.6.14, build 2439. I did some research on how to open windows in a minimised state and created a shortcut to the program, selected 'Properties', 'Run', 'Minimised' . This now works when I open the program manually, however doesn't work when adding the shortcut to the 'start-up' tab in 'Configure Desktops' tab. The program opens as a 'Normal Window' on the screen. Is there a way to manage this?
