There's also MaxMax, which limits the size of maximized windows without changing the work area.

Thanks for the help and suggestion. I've tried DesktopCoral in the past, but wasn't that keen, perhaps I'll take another look.

Yeah it's one of those "I hope we find a better way to do it." things, but I'm not a dev.

No, Dexpot doesn't change the work area at all. Is this really the question though? Individual work areas per desktop?

Does Dexpot cause a System Refresh at anytime? Just wondering because that would cause the loss of Rainmeter's DesktopWorkArea setting.

From my point of view, a single definable work area, across all desktops would do. However, I'm sure others might like to have to have the ability to customise each desktop independently.

Patrick, is Dexpot capable of setting the DesktopWorkArea on a per desktop basis? If so would it be much trouble to have a setting for it in VDMConfig.ini?

Hi.

I posted the following over at the Rainmeter forums and it was suggested this would be a Dexpot feature, hence I should ask here. I hope I'm in the right place...

I wonder if anyone can help. I've just started using Dexpot with Rainmeter and the two are working as I would like, with one exception, I can't get the DesktopWorkArea to function correctly, when both are being used with the appropriate plugins.

As of now, I have the VDMConfig.ini and VDM.ini files configured and working and Raindexer is registered. I also have:

DesktopWorkAreaType=1
DesktopWorkArea=

In my Rainmeter.ini. The DesktopWorkAreaType settings work fine when not used in conjunction with Dexpot. I've tried adding:

DesktopWorkArea@=

but that also didn't help.

I'm using:

Rainmeter - 2.3.0 beta r1349 64-bit (Apr 29 2012)
Dexpot - 1.5.99 build 1928

Thanks.
