No, the button is not supposed to be there. It's not visible in Windows 7 and Windows 8 Developer Preview. Assuming they didn't change the behavior on purpose, it's a bug in the Consumer Preview.

DexControl Application Icon in Taskbar

First off, DexControl is awesome! It works and feels great in Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

After activating DexControl, however, I am seeing a separate icon for "Desktop Control" (or DexControl) on my taskbar. Is it expected to be visible in the taskbar? Can it be hidden?

Also, occasionally another ghost icon will show up in the taskbar that, when clicked on, will disappear. Not sure what is calling the window. I have dexCube and SevenDex enabled as well.
