Nifty idea. :D We'll think of a way to implement it consistent with the existing interface. Perhaps a search/filter textbox in 'desktop windows'...

I think that you have most of this functionality available in different parts of the code--it may be as simple as just making a new function.

Sometimes, I lose applications. They are still running, but I find it difficult to find them.

It would be nice to have a "Find Application" utility, where you give something about the application (Window title, Window Class if known, executable name), and any windows that match the application can be put either into the current desktop, or maybe their names could be put into a menu and then optionally (if selected) moved to the current desktop.
