Windows grow large when moved using Desktop Preview
Been having some really weird multi monitor issues after an Nvidia driver update and Windows 10 . I've cured most of the problems , but Dexpot is doing something now that I never had a problem with before (long time user) I have 3 monitors in this order 24" (100% scale) 43" (125% scale) 24...

Re: Win 11 support?
I have used Dexpot for a very long time, and under Windows 10 with very few if any major issues. Hoping it still works under 11, no reason really why it shouldn't , though there are no guarantees. PS I use power hungry apps with dozens of open windows. Switch all day between desktops . THREE monitor...

Re: I hate Windows 10 Native Virtual Desktops
Yes, the Win 10 virtual desktops is pitiful , compared to Dexpot. That said, I have been using Dexpot with great success under Win10 , with only a few issues. I'm running Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363, not updated to the newer Win 10 yet, but get all the updates. You should be able to use Dexpot un...

Re: Opening the Windows menu switches to a different desktop
So far that fix seems to have done the trick. Haven't seen the problem at all since That pretty much makes Dexpot for me near perfect under Windows 10 , a minor miracle Still don't know why the Windows version of virtual desktops is so lame , when they had your work as a benchmark. They should have ...

Re: Windows not unhiding on desktop switch
I think then , its because there are so many windows from the same app, that some don't respond fast enough to the 'show' commands, and get bypassed. It's not a huge problem, but is there some way to tweak the timeout so that Dexpot waits a little longer for the response . I don't think much more ti...

Re: Opening the Windows menu switches to a different desktop
99% of everything has worked for me under Windows 10 , but I also had the Start menu search go haywire , randomly
My workaround was to restart explorer.exe
I'll try this possible fix

Re: Should I attempt to use Dexpot on new Windows install?
It's a little buggy , but I open a Crapload of windows in multiple apps, and use a few desktops actively, with little issues Windows sometimes stay hidden between switches but that isnt an win 10 issue, it happ in win 7 too I'd say, if you like Dexpot , give it a try under w10 Shame the developer is...

Windows not unhiding on desktop switch
Using dexpot under w10, with much success. A problem that is chronic, when you have many windows (stock trading) is random windows not responding to the signal to reappear, when switching desktops Have to go to the windows log, and manually unhide them Already give realtime priority to the Dexpot ex...

Re: Using Firefox with Dexpot
Solution 1: Use the Desktop preview to access the window to move it .
Solution 2: Assign a hotkey to Move or whatever you need. Works fine!
Dexpot rocks !

Re: Should I attempt to use Dexpot on new Windows install?
Decided to go ahead and try it.
The W10 VD is so bad, I could not bear the thought of using it
So far , not bad. Seeing some weirdness with the Windows search feature. Not allowing me to type into it at the moment

Should I attempt to use Dexpot on new Windows install?
The built in Virtual desktop feature is an embarrassment to Microsoft. Already having problems with apps that behaved under Win 7 and Dexpot , not doing so under Win 10, in a new computer build. I am concerned that there has been no new version for a long time, and don't want to have to deal with in...

Re: Future of Dexpot
Been using Dexpot for many years. Windows 7. Would be a shame if it stopped working in some future incarnation of Windows.
It's not hard to use at all once you work with it for a short while.

Alt-Tab sometimes makes all windows minimize
Having this issue for some time. Not sure if its a Windows 7 problem or possible Dexpot.
At random times, pressing Alt-Tab causes all the windows on a desktop to minimize. Multiple apps. Mostly it works as it should, but it does this often enough to be annoying.
Anyone else ever see this?

Desktops 2.0 and Dexpot (compatability)
I am a long time user of Dexpot, and was just reading about the native Windows virtual desktop app Desktops 2.0.
Before I waste time looking at that (not as a replacement for Dexpot, but as a possible enhancement) is it compatible? Can you run both simultaneously?

Re: Some windows appearing on all desktops
I'm a long time happy Dexpot user, and just loaded it onto a new laptop. Ver 1.6.14. Running Windows 8.1 x64 My main PC is running version 1.6.13, and Windows 7 x64 just so you know. I have an app written in Java (Thinkorswim) which behaves fine on my PC where it only shows up on the desktop I've as...

Re: Windows getting hidden very often
I had the same problem for a long time, but lately it's gone away, using the same set of apps , but later versions of dexpot. I don't know if fixes were done or not, but the problem can be very annoying. now , thankfully, it's rare to lose a window to the hidden state. There was some thought that if...

Re: Windows not unhiding poperly
The Autoit pgm loads data every 45-60 seconds, and YES, while loading web data the app is basically not going to respond well to mouse action. If there's a problem loading a page (slow server), it can hang for some time. I'm thinking that if its in the 'loading state' for too long when its asked to ...

Re: Windows not unhiding poperly
I tried given each instance a different name, seemed to help a bit, but not significant (as expected). I think it might have to do with the app being in a busy state (loading web page) when the unhide is requested, and it ignores or doesnt see the request. I'll try to get a log of this, though I usu...
