:dex:

Here is a new plugin that lets you place individual Windows sidebar gadgets on each desktop. Only tested on Windows 7, may or may not work on Vista.

Gadgets.exe
(160.5 KiB) Downloaded 1604 times

To install, save the attached file to your Dexpot plugins folder (usually C:\Program Files\Dexpot\plugins). When the plugin is active, running gadgets will show up in Desktop Windows:

You can move and copy them like regular windows as long as you follow these rules:

  • When moving a gadget to another desktop, the source desktop has to be active.
  • When copying a gadget to another desktop, the target desktop has to be active.

Here is my trick :

* Download the plugin and put the Gadgets.exe in a folder that you can easily find after (C:... --> path 1).

* Arrange all the gadgets in the way you want, with the settings you want, in each corresponding window following the advices and rules given previously in this topic.

* Then in Windows Configuration of Dexpot, select the window you launch at the beginning. In the last tab, program a command to launch Gadgets.exe by searching the path 1.
Then select Event > first entry Close > Never
(BTW Note to the Dexpot programmers : here in Close you can select when 'Dexpot stop's but it doesn't want to save it after)

* Apply and then Ok

It works for me. Be sure that you have set Dexpot so that it is launching when you start Windows.

Hope it will help
